Aus v Ind 2016, 4th ODI: Virat Kohli slams 25th ton, fastest to reach the mark

New Delhi: An in-form Virat Kohli continued his good form in the ongoing series against Australia after slamming yet another ton, during the 4th ODI at Canberra.

It makes Kohli the fastest batsman to hit 25 ODI tons.

Kohli hit John Hastings for a double in the first ball off the 36th over to reach the hundred. It took him mere 84 balls to reach the three-figure mark, with the help of 11 boundaries and a six.

Now the 28-year-old dashing cricketer has also reached to the 4th spot among leading centurions in ODI cricket.

Legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar is at the top of the list with 49 ODI tons, while, Australia's Ricky Ponting (30) and Sri Lanka's Sanath Jayasuriya (28) are at the 2nd and 3rd spot, respectively.

In the 3rd ODI of the series, Kohli scored his maiden ton against Australia, Down Under at MCG, which helped him to become the fastest batsman to reach 7000-run mark and 24 ODI centuries in the world.

Kohli scored 91, 59 and 117 in the first three ODIs against the Aussies.

India, who have already lost the series by losing the first three matches on the trot, have to chase the mammoth total of 349 to win the 4th ODI.
